Just jump in the back seat, the pit crew straps you in and you go around the track at top speeds for 2-3 laps. ![]() There is no interaction between the customer and the driver. As I saw some of the drivers exit, I heard several exclamations of " it is harder than it looks" so be aware of that.įor the ride along, You just get to put on a helmet. If a driver - you get to put on the race jumpsuit, get an instructional class, a radio headset to communicate to the crew who is helping to guide people along the track. My husband did the ride along ( not a driver himself). But no concessions - so if bringing little ones consider packing some snacks. But once at the correct tunnel - there are two friendly guards standing at the gate who happily have you sign in and point you in the right direction. ![]() There are some small signs posted so you may miss them. It is too far to walk from the main entrance/gift shop- so if visiting the gift shop, be sure to save a few minutes to get back in the car and drive to the location. The lobby of the race track is kind of small but has a well stocked gift shop - but note that you must get to the race experience through Gate 26 tunnel. With busy schedules it took us some time to get it scheduled- but once the opportunity arose we were able to do it with ease. This was a fathers day surprise for my husband. I probably should have researched this one a little more.
